Who is Buying Napa Wineries?

We are often asked, “who are the buyers for Napa?”

We compiled a summary of a few of the many significant Napa Valley wine M& transactions in recent years. This list of 14* deals between 2019 to 2022 YTD suggests there are still several types of buyers attracted to the Napa Valley:

· Domestic Wine Industry Strategics (6)
· International Groups (5)
· Private Equity (2)
· Individual/Lifestyle (1)*

*Note this analysis excludes some smaller transactions (e.g. Grace Family, BRAND Napa Valley, etc.) that would have included more lifestyle buyers.
